Trollhättan, Sweden Officially Becomes Tempe’s 10th Sister City
Trollhättan, Sweden officially becomes Tempe’s 10th Sister City in May 2015. However, there has been a collaboration between Tempe and Trollhättan since we first met in 2008. We have enjoyed and have had successful exchanges of student delegates since 2010, as well as professional delegate exchanges and the very first International Chef to cook at Hackett House was Peter Erikson, Professional Chef and Vice Mayor of Trollhättan, in October 2014. TSC Dinner Party Cooking Class with CHEF LEE HILLSON of the Phoenician
We welcome Chef Lee Hillson, the Executive sous chef at The Phoenician, back to the Hackett House Tuesday, March 11, 2014 – to cook his magic for us. Chef Lee will create his unique Pasta Carbonara, the dish he created while participating with Cat Cora in the Iron Chef competition. Chef Lee is known for his use of fresh ingredients and delightful creations.

TSC Hosts Reception For President Gjorge Ivanov of the Republic of Macedonia
Tempe Sister Cities hosted a reception to honor President Gjorge Ivanov of the Republic of Macedonia on April 25, 2013. This was the first time Tempe Sister Cities has hosted a reception for a president of a country. It was a beautiful event held at the Hackett House. President Ivanov was impressed with the different displays in each room of Hackett House, representing the many cities that have twinned with Tempe. Later President Ivanov was presented with a cowboy hat by Dick Neuheisel who promised him a horse on his next visit.
