Spotlight on Past TSC Educator Participants….Where Are They Now?

We often wonder what our past participants in the Professional Educator Exchange  are  doing  now…where  are  they,  are they still  educators? That is why we created this feature for Tempe Sister Cities Monthly Newsletter. This first Spotlight article is about Annette Asuncion, who was an exchange teacher to Regensburg in 2011.

Tempe Educators in New Zealand Summer 2013

It truly is a joy to relive once again this past summer and fall. Jill Osborne, Katy McGill, and I (Mary Bosen) were honored to travel to beautiful Lower Hutt, New Zealand as the Teacher’s Exchange Delegates for 2013. Katy was hosted by a delightful young teacher couple, Kelly and Rihania Chadwick, both 4/5grade teachers.

Tempe Sister Cities Holiday Dinner Celebration

Tempe Sister Cities Holiday Dinner Celebration: We apologize for the late notice, but we would like to invite you to join all your Tempe Sister Cities friends, and meet some new ones, at our Holiday Dinner Celebration: Join us at the Hackett House on Saturday, December 10th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for an Italian feast. It’s Tee Time

Hey all you TSC golfers!  It is that time of  year again when we begin our fantastic, fabulous, fun-filled TSC Golf Scramble at Shalimar Country Club in Tempe on the 2nd Sunday of the next six months.  We invite all of our TSC members to join us on November 13th, our first outing of the year. The date is rapidly approaching, so we need to know how many of you will be playing on Sunday, November 13th. This is a great opportunity to meet new TSC members, TSC Alumni, and enjoy a fun afternoon of golf.

The 40th anniversary celebrations which began in January 2011, are moving into high gear! The week of October 3-9, 2011 has been officially proclaimed Tempe Sister Cities Week by Tempe Mayor Hugh Hallman.  Tempe Sister Cities cordially invites you to participate!! See below a list of this weeks activities which include Bakery Day, Ring of Honor, Making a World of Difference, International Economic Forum, and our world famous Tempe Oktoberfest.
