Sister Cities International Leadership Leads Delegation to India

WASHINGTON, D.C. (January 28, 2015)  – Members of Sister Cities International’s leadership recently concluded a successful visit to India.  During the visit, the delegation met with the Mayor of Agra, Hon. Indrajeet Arya to discuss a possible trilateral partnership between Tempe, US – Cusco, Peru – Agra, India.              Agra is home to the Taj Mahal. The annual SCI Conference held in San Antonio this year was especially meaningful for the group of seven from Tempe that attended. This year Tempe was honored with the BEST SISTER CITY PROGRAM IN AMERICA. Tempe has been recognized six times for this award. Sister Cities International has recognized Tempe Sister Cities as the Best Overall Program in America. This is the sixth time that Tempe has been recognized as the Best Overall Program in America. Tempe has distinguished itself with a long history of successes. Past delegates have served as National Student Chairmen.
