Ten Years ago Rover third grade teacher, Deb Wakefield applied and was selected for an educator exchange to Lower Hutt, New Zealand.  The connection with other teachers and her host family was a very special bond.

Deb was reunited with her host family on a recent trip to New Zealand this March with a sister city delegation, celebrating thirty years of the twinning relationship. Pictured to the left are Clarissa and Maria with Deb in the middle. Old friends and new were all celebrating together in a farewell dinner hosted by our kiwi friends.  With each of these special relationships the world becomes a bit smaller, and friends become closer.
