We are in need of volunteers. For the past several years, the Tempe Sister Cities Volunteers have participated in the Rock ‘N’ Roll Arizona Marathon.  No! No! We don’t run in the marathon. We serve beer, to the runners, at the end of the race.  Each runner is allowed one free beer and we sell beer to all spectators of legal age. This years event is SUNDAY, JANUARY 15, 2012 and we need volunteers for two shifts: 8AM-Noon or 11AM to 3PM.

The event usually generates about $5,000 which benefits our summer student exchange program.

Location: Sun Angel Track Stadium.  The stadium is located South of Packard Stadium and North of the Whitman Tennis Center. The two booths are located on the east side of the track on either side of the band stage.

Parking: The streets around the finish line will be closed resulting in a lengthy walk to our volunteer site. The shortest walk would involve riding the Light Rail from east of the event and getting off at Sun Devil Stadium. Other options include getting dropped off near the site and walking or riding your bicycle.
